Oh let's torture the eastern folks. Too pretty. I would live in the trunk of a car to see that everyday. Incredible. It was 95 and 100 percent humidity no breeze yesterday. The humidity is the issue.

As my friend posted on Facebook yesterday:
"It's 117* in the back yard but thanks to the low humidity it only feels like 115*."

Today should be the hottest day of the week, supposed to reach 100 degrees in my little corner of the world. The mountains and desert to the east of us will have it worse, could get up to 120. Record high temps for this day are expected to be broken. I only hope we don't have any wild fires going. Smokers, target shooters and people cutting brush all need to be vewy, vewy careful! Jean Forgot to add - Beautiful country up there. (But don't think I'd go as far as living in a car trunk to see it everyday James. ) Thanks for sharing!

Wow, sorry. It was only 101 here yesterday. (yep, I was getting cooked on the job site). I can't imagine 120 but I'll bet that sucks.

Anyone want me to fry them an egg on the sidewalk? I like the one here where the news station wanted to demonstrate how hot it can get in a closed vehicle for a child or pet. So they put a pan of cookie down on the dash and cooked the cookies in the car heat.

"Bout normal but at least it's a wet heat. " *L* Too true Snuffy! I've been doing weed work and clearing the canyon trials prior to a ride we have coming up next Wednesday. Was so hot and sweaty I changed clothes three times in one day. It is definitely a tad warm this week....Mel

OK, now this is ridiculous. Had my weedeater catch on fire and die this morning so went into Home depot and bought a new one. Came home to find a scorpion on the front porch trying to get into the house where the air conditioning is. You know it's hot when scorpions want to get indoors....Mel

A lot of people move to Atlanta from LA and Pheonix. Over the years I have heard them complain about 95F and 95% and calm.
Especially when working in it. It is oppressive. About 15 years ago I had a big landscape project for June-August. For 3 months
it was constantly 100-105F and above 90% humidity.

Snow here lasts for 2-3 days, then it's mud for 2-3 weeks.

Man, I feel for all you folks in the southwest. Thought I would post a photo of something cool, as it were. I melt at 80, can't imagine that kind of heat. Crazy Woman Mtns. 24 June Love the "Crazy's"!!!!!!! Use to work in the oil patch and did alot of work around those mountains,in a place called Rapelje(is that spelled right)..LOL natural gas wells....(Huge Mulie deer there too) Its poppin' here too,in the mid 90's,might push into the triple #'s....Can't change it,so I just think of the -50 below zero weather I use to deal with in North Dakota in the winter months...I'll take the hot, whether I hate it or not......Stay cool my friends..

supposed to be 112 today. At least that is what the radioman said.
If this keeps up we'll get some summer rain like last year.
