Our Granddaughter Amy helping Grandpa make pizza from scratch....Had to laugh,we were making the dough,(her favorite part, was kneading the dough)and I told her we had to let it set for an hour, for it to rise. After the hour was over, she looked at it and said,HOLY COW!!! LOL Homemade sauce, canadian bacon, pepperoni, olives, parmesan and mozzarella cheese..... I've been making pizza since I was 9 years old,got it down pat and better than any pizza joint around here..LOL ( I love teaching kids to cook and or bake)

I love homemade pizza. I agree better than any commercial pizza of ANY kind!
Congrats on the new baker.
Do you have left over pizza dough? What do you do with it?
I am hoping for clever ideas.

Oh hech ya'.............My recipe makes a double batch of dough,so I freeze one.... When we want something like pizza again,we make "Calzones" from the extra dough I froze... It makes about four small ones or two huge ones... Or you can cut the dough into 1 inch strips and add cheese to them for cheese dipping bread, put the sauce on the side.... Its endless.........LOL

Thanks Mike!
I have tried making little calzones filled with bananas & nutella. Fold them over seal them up, poke a few holes with a fork, wet the top sprinkle with sugar and bake off. I guess I could make apple pies the same way.

I may try to fill some with kung pao chicken and fried rice.
Beef stew calzones with beef, carrots and potatoes. Bake it off!
