The motor on my Ameritool is fried. So, I am thinking about replacing it. But I am torn between the Ameritool and the Hi Tech Diamond machine. I guess they are pretty much the same but it looks to me from pictures that the Hi Tech Diamond machine might be more stable at high speed that I use when polishing. Does anyone know or have any experience, comments on either machine.

Also, why are the Crystalite machines so expensive? Are they better machines? I would think if someone were to spend that kind of money they would go with a horizontal shaft machine.
