In another thread I started on Montana agates being petrified wood, we learned they are most likely limb casts. Perhaps an even greater revelation is this website. In it you may see hundreds of carved stones in a myriad of subjects. I found it amazing and thought you'd appreciate it if I shared here. Since I dig frogs, here ya go. A sample image:  |

WooHoo, all of the agate with quartz crystals that I have found are limb casts or parts of limb casts. I find a lot of almost completely clear and very dark (tea or coffee color) Montanas. I have five gallon buckets of them and do not know what to do with all of them. If anyone wants some I will take photos and post them. I sell really cheap because I need to get rid of some rock so I can go find more.  Jim |

kk, I have a saw now, so likely I can get to cutting the purple burro creek and sharing mu cutoffs soon.
