You were the guy who said hydrogen cars weren't possible, because you couldn't build one, weren't you?
Elon Musk is a smart African man. His founding of Paypal, SpaceX, and Tesla were timely and brilliant. But genius's have ideas all the time. He just happens to have been obsessing about the hyperloop for the past year. Until it's tested, no one knows how it works. But then, when he started SpaceX, everyone laughed at him too... and gee... you should see SpaceX's bldg at NASA today.

You were the guy who said hydrogen cars weren't possible, because you couldn't build one, weren't you? actually, no. That is you putting words in my mouth. I told of my failed concept to utilize solar energy to power a barbecue grill using electrolysis of water to generate the hydrogen. I never built the device due to the inherent inefficiencies in the system. What kind of dumbass reads what I just wrote and feels the need to fire back as though I was dissing Elon Musk. I called him a genius and a hero for gosh sakes. AND I said I was reserving enthusiasm until I see it happen. Oh, what??? We said the same thing! In different ways! Africa is not a country and when we speak of people we speak of the nation they were born in; to communicate properly we should attribute that he is "South African". Although, I fail to see the relevance of the country of his birth. He is human tho'.

Just pointing out the value of African immigrants that Americans might appreciate:).
We didn't say the same thing.
I say he's brilliant and he can make it work. I will add that I would be happy to be on his test trip. 4000 mph... no G... what the heck?
You said it sounded like a death trap and you weren't "going in".
I'm the optimistic glass half full, and you're the chicken half empty.

They're cooking the books yet again. It's not unemployment claims anymore, it's 1st time claims. In other words, if an unemployed person gets a job that lasts a week it's called a created job. When he loses his job and returns to unemployment it's NOT an unemployment claim. If counted correctly unemployment in the US is over 14%. Most new jobs are low wage McJobs. Thanks, POTUS.

First-time claims? Yeah, they just invented that one for Obama’s second term. Prior to that, it was called first-time claims.

1. Click on the first clickie-thingie that says 2014 and select, oh, say . . . 1967. 2. Ignore the second one and click submit. 3. Feel free to blame LBJ, Nixon or any other piece of crap since then cause they all were, without fail. Shithole, FUBAR. www.ows.doleta.gov/unemploy/claims.asp

Things go well? Nearly 20% of the nation is out of work and that is good? Sure the powers that be only report the 8% or whatever. That is because they fail to report those that are no longer collecting unemployment but want a job and those that are working part time but need full time work. BLS website - www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t15.htmU-6 unemployed = 14.3 percent add in the people that have dropped off the radar to get 19%+ If BLS is aware of the U-6 number why is it we only hear about the U-3 number? Even the description of the U-3 number is Orwellian - Total unemployed, as a percent of the civilian labor force - is far from complete U-4 Total unemployed plus discouraged workers, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus discouraged workers - 8.2% U-5 Total unemployed, plus discouraged workers, plus all other persons marginally attached to the labor force, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force - 9.1% U-6 Total unemployed, plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, as a percent of the civilian labor force plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force - 14.3% The government is purposely misleading the public into thinking all is hunky dory. With nearly 1 in 5 employable citizens either not working or not working enough I'd say this is far from hunky dory. My number is U-6 plus those unemployed long enough to no longer draw benefits. The government does not count them as unemployed even if they are seeking employment.

That's a year by year chart. And unemployment is coming down. But that must be bad.

I told you why.
People are coming off unemployment still unemployed but are not counted.
The "trend" is false. THAT is bad.
