Went to check on my latest batch finishing up in a burnish, And the rocks were not moving, Upon closer look, I have the 2 stacked springs on the back right side, broken. I kinda figured it happen sooner or later, Its has given up 11 great batches of nice rocks, Looks like I can get a set from Rockshed, I work in a warehouse, shipping & rec, and I have plenty of the metal banding material. Looks exactly like the springs I dont think it would work correctly, It is easy to bend, the Lot o springs are very stiff Has to be different steel composition. Anybody have any experience with these? thanks Dave

Hi Dave,
The metal banding material is not spring metal. It won't work unfortunately, you'll have to get the right stuff from Rockshed, etc. Getting only 11 batches before the break is not right. I wonder if something else is wrong causing these breakages. Best, Mark

I ain't gonna stress over it, I checked the fans & weights and there in tact and in the right position. I know I had accidently plugged it in before with out the barrel in place, and it shakes violently, for 1 - 2 seconds before I could get it stopped. Place the order from Shawn for a total of $11.66 not too bad,
Dave

The steel banding material isn't spring steel but I have made "springs" out of it for my Lot-O and they lasted quite a while. I made them so I could continue running until the real springs got here but left them in until they were shot. I can't remember how long the banding springs were on but I think it was at least a couple of months running 24/7. If you only got 11 batches out of a set of springs either they were tempered wrong or something is loose on you unit? I've only changed springs on my 2 units twice in several years. connrock
