This is a gorgeous hunk of gabbro(?) I got from tandl. Ted sold me some really awesome rocks. Anyway, here is an "end cut slab" from a cube I am making. I decided to "slab to cube" and sell a little bit for blade money. Maybe granite? But the green crystals could be olivine? and then we could have a basalt-gabbro? Maybe kinda sorta? I have no clue. I'd love to hear from the pros. I do know it will make a pretty sphere. It almost shines dry off the saw. Should take terrific polish.

actually, it's bright white and black with the green peaking in. The yellow color is because we had an amazing sunset last night that was lighting the image.

Coarse grained gabbro , plagioclase-white, augite -black,hornblende-black,olivine-green . i find many variants of grain sizes and amounts of the different minerals that are essential to be gabbro . have some with so much olivine they are mostly green . some with gold flashing plagioclase.

tandl there is a black shimmery crystal in it. It does also have some olivine for sure. Hope it shows up in the sphere. Awesome rock BTW, I love it! Thanks.
