Greetings from Fabyan, CT. This is a good site. I wish we'd found it six months ago. Nessa and I live on a small farm that used to be her grandfather's gravel pit. We've dabbled in rocks most of our lives. We are now old and have grown enough patience for the hobby. We've done all the beginner mistakes and are ready to move forward. Our plan is to make jewelry. We have three Lortone tumblers now and are getting a 12lb unit for the big jobs. We don't use a saw. I whack 'em with a hammer and chisel. We'll post some pics as they come and we will post useful info as soon as we learn some. Hafa Adai. Richard and Nessa.

Welcome, would like to hear more on what kind of jewelry you will be doing in particular. Wire wrapping, castings for stones, etc.

Thanks V. Nessa does wire wrapping. I want to make large pendants and beads. It sounds like cutting and drilling holes is expensive. Maybe I need a laser...
