I've read a lot about the radiation outside the plant and the ongoing leaks.. the gift that keeps on giving.
Japan went all in on Nuclear power at one time. Everyone worried about earthquake potential and the wisdom of building Nukes in Japan. Nobody Tsunami proofed it; wasn't the biggest issue Just like the WTC was built to withstand fire, just not Boeing Jets crashing in with full tanks. There will always be something.
Contaminated water is leaking into the Pacific...that's been well documented. Given the Japanese propensity for seafood it's got to be a hardship.
Still I don't think it can compare with Chernobyl

I'm not sure, from what i'm reading the amounts released are far greater than Chernobyl but it's going into the ocean. Time will tell I guess and yes it's quit the name.
