Hello all, I use the Gryphon grinder to put a groove in my cabs, what is the optimal size of wire too use? I have used 18 and 20 gauge but both seem a little big for the groove the grinder makes. Any help would be awesome.
Thanks
Tom

I use 22 gauge for all of my wire wraps, I'm guessing that it would work for groove wraps as well. 22 seems to be the best all-around wire size.

...Hey this is hub, I use 20 18 16 and have used even bigger, It depends on weather you want to bury the wire in the groove,or just set it in the groove. I have wrapped the wire around the stone pulled it off and hammered it flat, then set it in the groove. 22 ga. to me is too thin and doesn't have the strength. Also there are different thickness of blades, and the depth of the groove matters also. just my 2cents Hub

Thanks Hub, I got the groove bits made by Gryphon, I did not notice that there is different widths of bits. Also I maybe need to cut a deeper groove with the bit I have. Umm I have only done 2 so I think I need to experiment more LOL
Thanks
