I did these with the same recipe I always use but the shine seems a little off. I am wondering if some of the montana's didnt break off little sharp pieces that affected the polish. ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00335_resize_zps5ab8958e.jpg) ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00338_resize_zpsfb262756.jpg) montana agate ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00361_resize_zpse30a5c61.jpg) palmwood ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00344_resize_zps5d64059f.jpg) Flint ridge ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00348_resize_zps75698539.jpg) ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00352_resize_zpsb93fd0ce.jpg) ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00353_resize_zps252edfda.jpg) And here's our ongoing pile of flint ridge we keep adding to every week (we brought home 160 pounds so this keeps growing) ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-4-2013/DSC00365_resize_zps7fd38640.jpg) thanks for looking Chuck

It looks like the Montana agate did not round near as much. I find it to be harder than most. Often the hardest agate in the batch will get the best polish. And harder materials just polish fast and really shiny. Brazilian agate, coral and Montana is the hardest stuff I have tumbled. A local jasper is the softest silica rock I have ever tumbled. It breaks into tumble size easily.

now that you'll be getting 2 more lot-o barrels soon maybe that will help. I think they all look great.

They all look good to me! I don't see any problems, often the person doing the tumbling is their own worst critic... -Don
