Speaking of shit. There is no weirder feeling than stepping in fresh cowshit with bare feet! Most of the ex farm kids should know what I'm talking about. I had an old patient a log time ago that grew up on a farm. She said that when they would get a cold they would take a big, fresh cowpie and smear it all over their chest to help break up the congestion.

My ex-wife's aunt in Mexico was told that if she smeared baby shit on her face it would clear up the malady that she had. She had grand children that offered the shit voluntarily and she tried it. It cleared up her face and whatever it was never came back. I would have lived with whatever it was she had. Jim

I thought she was a white Shepard. Nice looking dog. Billy, hard to tell her looks when she is sitting down. Here's another look She was around 40 lbs, stocky build. The stumpy tail is natural (x-rays taken of her arthritic back show it was not docked), her build and tail suggested the heeler. As for the Chow part, she had a partially black tongue, the coarse Chow fur with thick undercoat, and also had an affliction typically found in only Chinese/Asian breeds. It's called uveodermatologic syndrome (vkh), and is an autoimmune disease. Sunlight causes the immune system to attack parts of the body, in her case, her nose. It can also affect the eyes, but you normally get one or the other, not both in the same dog.

Those earth turds are very interesting. Waders may be needed if they were any thicker. Yes, Jean. I would like to see more earth turds. And how big do they get !? James, they can get up to a couple feet across, maybe bigger. There is one area to the north of where we camp at that is particularly known for them. But they are scattered throughout the area. Theses shots were taken in a much less traveled area. And no set of desert photos is complete without a sunset pic.

Coprolite is no longer alive. Perhaps bacterially active with odiferous release is more appealing to this forum apparently Scott. Helen makes her perfume out of it. James makes his medicine out of it. Jim's in-law smears it on her face. Jean fertilizes w/it and photographs funny looking earth turds. Jamesp fertilizes, fantasizes, studies, shares, studies it more, and gets it on his doctors finger. Scott may sphere it if it were beautifully agatized. Bushman uses is it every other word. Mario has an affinity to rabbit droppings. Did I leave anyone out? Was suspicious that Rockoonz Jim may butter his toast w/it but that is unsubstantiated. Tela may have tendencies in the subject. I think she was tempted to add interjections.
Others on the forum may take note of this list...

Pumpkin patch eh Jean? Beware if any intestinal caverns in the area. The earth gets constipated too. What is it like to live in the land of earth turds? Is your home situated in the middle of it or do you get relief from certain winds? Doggies look like they are having a good time.

This is located about 100 miles east of my home, don't live in the middle of it. The dogs always have a good time in the desert!

I love that the sign says that the concretions were formed by sand sticking to a piece of hell. I did not know you could find pieces of hell, but now that I have learned that, I want some! That way when we are discussing some politics I can actually give them hell! Jean, please share the coords for small pieces of hell.

I seen that. Shell modified to hell. Those sand balls fascinate me. Reminds me of the Costa Rica balls. Spheres and balls. You guys are fascinating. But the turd ball bond is powerful.

Is it illegal to collect coprolites like it is illegal to collect dino bone in certain areas?
That red is like from a bleeding ulcer just kidding. That is a fine rock.

I am working on a couple small cabs of coprolite. That sh!t is very distinctive looking. I'm going to attempt some wire-wrap rings with them.

The variability of manufacture must create various textures. Can't wait to see them. Are you new to cabbing/wrapping?
