Finally got some time to do a bit of sifting through the sapphire gravel, doing good so far...... Here is the stuff thats called "Krazy" gravel, comes in 25 pound bags....Its a mixture of all kinds of gems, minerals, shark teeth,etc..... Sifting through this gravel is a blast....... All the fine gravel and dirt from this project will be filtered into a smaller container for panning for the gold dust and flakes later on this fall.....

Cool stuff. When you screen it down to pan it, how fine do you go? I always screen my concentrates down below 30 mesh.

Haven't been panning long, maybe a few years.......I'm using my Uncles old equipment for sifting, its a fine sift.Alot will just be rough gravel, than pan it....Haven't seen any black sands yet,but that doesn't mean anything...(thumbs up).. He always told me to save it all, than work it..Thats what I'm trying...LOL Been trying to get my brother to send me some gravel from the "Slope" up your way,but he forgets alot or just doesn't wanna do it...LOL

I use different size mesh screens to classify before running in my blue bowl. I think I classify to 20 30 50 and 100 mesh and run to get the flower gold. good luck. au 4 all.

Heck,I don't care what it is....I just like snoping through different gravels and stuff from different places....Been trying for three years to get some gravel from that area....Last I heard my brother was in Norway doing some contruction siting for the company he works for...(offshore rigs)..Busy I guess... I'll swap or buy from ya'.........Thumbs up
