Yep. It's about 10 acres open and plant nursery, 7 in Bamboo and 14 in forest. The prettiest is the forest you see Randy. About a 1000 acres I use around me and another 2000 around that. I have helped the 3 distant land owners on occasion and they have let me romp on it for 25 years. Mainly reporting trespassers or illegal activity. Sometimes they lease to hunters and I have to stay off during hunt season. They run the deer to me when they drive ATV's back to their stands

The name of the farm is Rocky Shoals cause the old timers used to exchange affections on the water 'fall' back there.
They come by every once in a while and drop a few home grown veggies off and take a stroll. I tell em I set cameras up ha

No, but this was a shiner's property and the remains of the still were 200 feet north of house. A rich 2 acre field where I grow water lilies was his corn field. The worst was a few months ago, they were going up power poles w/climbing deer stands and cutting the 3 inch diameter phone cables and dragging them behind a truck to a burning area behind me 3/4 mile. I could smell it when wind was half right. GBI attacked w/ATV's and heliocopters and felonized 8 of them. Messed up my phones constantly. People make shine in basement type rigs regularly. This area is heavily policed for weed. Being close to Atlanta it is the last desolate area due to jet noise. The helicpters are like flies starting now till thru September. Shine is not illegal activity!

So, reading between the lines,..... You are cooking coral and keep lots of dogs to cover up your shine operation?

Damn James!!!! If I knew you were so close to Rome I would have called you... I just spent a week in Cedar Bluff, Al and did some rock hounding in Rome while I was there.... I got 5, 5 gallon buckets of Chert, because that's what I was after, but meeting folks and rockhounding are what this trip was all about and I got to meet some excellent folks, friends of my buddy who is came up with his family and my family in his 'Burb" pulling a 5x8 trailer full of hammers, buckets and other stuff!!! Even brought out Black Betty for a talk with a very large stubborn piece of chert in Georgia!! good time that trip... hoping to do it again later this year!!

I tell you Kurt. If I was interested in shine, it would be in production. And I have had friends park cars and bulldozers down here. The cars were being hidden from their teenagers and the equipment was stolen mostly i'm sure. The big complaint from big land owners is keeping the gates maintained so the public does not get on their property. The locals are allowed to get on the property lest they are felonious. But the old timers are going or dyeing and farms are going back to forest. Your ficker stuff put me in awe Kainzer Kurt Kurt's got cool stuff, check it out druewl warning galores(hope you don't mind) www.flickr.com/photos/bchallenge/

Where the have you been hiding Mario. Sounds like you had some fun. You are freaking me out. I just pulled a 5 gallon bucket of Kingston jasper out yesterday to share photos on the forum. Should have called. You may have scored very well hopefully. Sounds like you guys had fun. There is a large area between Rome and Cartersville to the east that is full of that stuff in wild color range. Most of it is on electric power easements and road cuts. I hope you post some photos. I will post some. Next time I will go and guide to my spots. 2 in particular. Or contact me and I can give direction. Good to hear from you. Chert shelf at the Etowah River

Did not know Flicker pulled everything into single stream. Looks presentable. Should update one of these days. Everything since January or February is missing. So basically, that's my first two years in the hobby without all the words.

Flicker redid and people are complaining. I posted the link just like I posted yours just then and it showed one 4 x 5 photo on the screen in a cool slide show in another forum. Open this link and scroll down I tiny bit www.thefossilforum.com/index.php?/topic/39617-trying-picture-uploading-while-its-raining/For us mass production tumble polishers that slide show can be controlled to view photo once a second-fast! Stick your pointer on the window and tinker w/the controls on upper left and speed it up on slide bar. Stick your pointer on the bottom of the window and check out the micro thumbnails. A marvel-I messaged the administrator to see if that was flicker's doings or the host software

Wow neat feature. Now that would be great to use here. No need to double up the pictures to get more views of the same thing. Does it work here? Or was that the test post from yesterday that only resulted in a link to Flicker?

I am hoping someone from the genus 'computer geniusi' will help. I captured all the links at the top of the flicker pages and copied them to 'link'. Kept doing it in a 'test' in 'rock tumbling photos' and could not get that little slide show going. I can not tell if that is flicker software or 'The Fossil Forum' software. I got to think it is flicker. I will forward that fossil forum link to flicker and ask them what is going on. link

Thanks for that link, James. I've seen some of Kurt's pieces, here and there, one at a time. So many works of art, all in one place - it's overwhelming!! Beautiful stuff, Kurt!
