my kids have been taking a bit of a break from tumbling lately but over the last few weeks both have been slowly getting going again. This is my 13 yr olds first batch his finished in awhile. I have not had much rose quartz to compare this to but this seemed very fractured and difficult to work with. ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00535_resize_zpsd69aabf2.jpg) Pudding stone cabbing scraps ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00538_resize_zps239876cf.jpg) Montana agates ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00543_resize_zpsd71e7a61.jpg) This is the only rutilated quartz we have ever had but now we need more ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00540_resize_zpsb09d4c28.jpg) This is a montana agate guitar pick I made on the flat lap a long time ago so we let it run with this batch and it looks better now ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00545_resize_zps0e2a0f38.jpg) thinner than a quarter ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00548_resize_zps6cd9eb69.jpg) More of our flint ridge material ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00554_resize_zps2cbd9423.jpg) And heres the random fillers ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00550_resize_zpsd4d2db2f.jpg) ![](http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x462/drummondislandrocks/tumbles/8-11-13%20darrens%20batch/DSC00552_resize_zpsbf368f85.jpg) Thanks for looking Chuck and Darren

Cool variety. Snowflake brings back memories 40 years ago when Dad got me a tumbler. Also the brown material with metal sparkles. And rutilated and tigereye was popular back then too.

I like that rutilated quartz a lot! The guitar pick is my favorite though.

Nice variety. Looks like you had good success with various hardnesses together.
