These bring back some memories....in those days I was confused by the rockhounds picking up material like agate, whilst I was in pursuit of metallic ore specimens. I would come blasting up some gulch on the dirtbike, and find a whole herd of them. Late in the day was good, they had awesome potlucks, and often invited me to dinner. Woody

Lowell, those are absolutely fantastic. Please keep them coming (and the "Now" pictures too from others). Do you have any pics of the materials they were getting you could include? That would be really interesting.
It is really impressive how well the slides held their color after all these years. Most of my dad's slides (and he has many, many thousands!) have faded quite a bit. Those must have been stored very well.

I found it. My wife got pulled all over the country by her Dad with one of those when she was a kid. Her job was to pinch his ear lobs when he was getting sleepy at the wheel. Strange family. You married a chicken? What?
