Some more dino bone Tisbury coral Is this sodalite or dumortierite or are they the same thing? What kind of poppy jasper is this? This is what is in the saw now. What might this one be, besides totally awesome?!

Great looking bone Donnie. The blue look to be sodalite to me and dumortierite is something diffferent, much harder ( dumortierite in massive quartz or quartzite). The poppy is Guadalupe. The plume looks like Marfa, TX plume to me. I have some very similar stuff from there......Mel

Thank you very much, Mel. I was guessing Marfa, I guess I might have learned a little bit after all! The blue was fairly easy to cut so sodalite it is.

Donnie, I think the plume is Medicine Bow plume agate. I've got a big chunk of it that I haven't slabbed yet but it looks like this one you have.

I would join Mel on the Marfa rather than Medicine bow on hand of how the plumes are contained in the agate.
Love the plumes and the Dino.
