I'm finally back to slabbing again and trying to catch up with some rough I can't ID. One is obviously a moss agate, but I don't know where it is from and the other I just don't know. It looks and feels like some kind of marble. The pink VAGUELY reminds me of rodonite but I don't think that's what it is. Does anyone have any ideas?

I've seen that pink before, but now I can't remember what the hell it is.... Thulite maybe?

Nice slabs, your first one looks like Lysite agate.

With the green & pink, I'm thinking Thulite too.

With the green & pink, I'm thinking Thulite too. I just Googled it and there is a LOT of pink as compared to my slab. Is Thulite anything like marble (think Picasso marble) in texture and polishability?

Nice slabs, your first one looks like Lysite agate. It sure looks like the pictures I just saw when I Googled it. Thanks for the ID.

I have examples of thulte from several sites and the material is all mixed hardness with the green parts being pretty hard and the pink areas softer. Your example looks very much like the stuff I have from Wyoming....Mel
