Ok, everyone has told me that you can ship overseas for a couple of dollars, but everytime I go to print a shipping label, it says $8.88. I don't want to mail a cinder block, I only want to mail a f'king cab. Can someone give me step by step directions on shipping from my house for less than a paycheck? Please? lol When I say step by step, I'm talking about a tutorial. One that a 5 year old might understand. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the prices for shipping anything out of the US where raised to levels that small pieces like your attempted shipment will not sustain. You might get away with 5-6 $, if I understand right. But that would be a small padded envelope that is nearly sure to arrive with the cab being broken and without tracking of any kind.

Looks like a 1st class envelope is the best option, and will cost about $8.00 like you said. I searched based on shipping to Sweden, don't know if all countries are the same. Whatever you do don't make it look like you're circumventing the recipients countries' duties or you may cause them a world of grief. Does the recipient know a US soldier on a nearby base with an APO? I used to ship a lot of emblems back when I did a car parts business. I would cut the shape of the emblem out of a thick piece of rigid cardboard, make a sandwich with 2 more pieces, all cut to fit an envelope and the rough dimensions of folded or flat paper to keep the postal counter person from going postal. I've been shipping internationally lately too and the cheapest price I got was $6.55 for 1oz. Someone said, can't remember who, Stonesthatrock maybe? That said they have a subscription based service that brings their small packages down to about $2.00 but I don't know what service it is and what the monthly fee is?

Randy, I think what people have told you is for a bubble envelope "under" 1/4" thick. Once it becomes more than 1/4" the price triples. All of my packaging is over 1/4".

Randy-in all likely hood, your packet will be over 1/4" thick and will be considered a packet. Small box would all be a packet. So if you send internationally 1st class mail a 2 oz packet over 1/4" thick will cost $6.55 at the post office. A 3oz packet will cost $9.45 at the post office, a 6oz packet will cost $12.75. Now the postage is a little cheaper if you buy it online-IE the USPS site, ebay-if sold through ebay)or some place like Stamps.com. You will find that it cost the same if your mailing to Germany or Australia. since your concerned about breakage-it might be best to find a small, light box as the price will be the same as a padded envelope. Go to the USPS site is fairly easy to navigate. click on the get mailing cost tab-plug in where it is going, value and weight. Use the small packet tab and it will let you know the cost for International 1st class packet. Remember that most countries will hit the buyer with custom fees if the item is expensive. The base 2oz price is the same to every country including Canada and Mexico

Yeah, that's pretty much everything I found out as of this morning. Bubble wrap envelopes are 1/4 inch thick empty lol, $8.88 is the cheapest so I'm gonna have to charge for shipping accordingly.

ebay has some sort of freight consolidation service where the goods are sent to somewhere, then containerized and then transported overseas. But only for ebay orders.

Yes ebay is offering a international mailing service now for items sold on ebay. It is not cheap but they claim the item will get where it is mailed to. I have no interest in ebay having any more hands in my sales than they already do. I have been mailing internationally for a long time using the USPS with few problems. There are a lot of do's and don'ts that I have discovered and there are some countries that I will not mail to.

Hey Randy, postage overseas went thru the roof about a year ago. I mail cabs in a size "0" bubble envelope and usually 1-4 cabs in an envelope for overseas is something like $7.50. You just have to increase your shipping prices or eat the extra postage.
