It looks to me like the blades are only good for tile and softer stuff? Am I wrong?

yes, that is wrong. These are for granite, porcelain, and vitreous tile - which are the MOHS equivalent of most jasper and some agate.
I use the all the time in my 10" trim, an dI have use them in my LS10 slab. I also use the 7" on my tile saw to cut whatever I fancy. They are great blades.

Porcelain tiles that we sell are Mohs 7-7.5 - ie; harder than granite.

Now he pulled down the mk225 listing and has mk415 instead for $40. Worth buying? Is .050" a bit on the thick side for a 10" blade?

Nevermind, I can get a 303c for just a couple bucks more.

yeah, the 415 would not be my recommendation. .080 thickness is too thick I think. I already got the 1st 225 I ordered. Looks fine. just in a plastic bag. I certainly don't mind losing the cardboard and plastic if it means deep savings.
