Depending on the cost I may be interested. Do you have photos of what you have? I have friends in China that carve them but at the time I was only carving soft stone. Please PM me. Jim

If anyone is interested in seeing it, here is a photo of a Corkscrew I made with a Tagua nut back in the mid 1980's. It is of a medieval knight. The head is depicted wearing a chainmail coif and is all carved from one solid Tagua nut. The neck, shoulder and breast suit are carved from one piece of cherry wood. The stainless steel cork screw rod I purchased from a woodturning supply company. Tagua nuts are very hard. I carved this one with small wood chisels and a Swiss carving knife. I soaked the nut in water for a day or so to soften it up a little for carving. If you are using a Dremel or Foredom with cutting burrs you may not need to soak them first.I'm not sure if I remember how to insert photos here so if my attempt fails you can view the photo of the corkscrew here: www.flickr.com/photos/quailriverI'll post this over in the carving forum too.
