Howdy folks, My last tumble batch was pretty messed up but here are a couple I liked. These are some plume agate nodules I collected at Woodward.....Mel

they are beautiful. I went to Woodward and had no idea what to collect. Mrs. Woodward thought i was plain stupid. I finally figured out those nodules were awesome on the inside.

There are a fair amount of plume cabs posted but I do not remember seeing many (if any) plumes tumbled. I think they look way cool with a lot of depth to them. Nice job

Nice polished plumes. You gotta wonder how they form. So organic and fractal-like.

Carlos: Apparently the plumes form as crystal structures before the agate fills in around them as at Woodward, I've found a couple of geodes with plume structures extending up into the hollow like three dimensional trees. Also, often you can see, where in fully filled in plume biscuits, the chalcedony filling is layered in kind of ghost rings around the plume which to me, indicates the plumes were already there before the agate filled the nodule center.....Mel

that's some very cool material and you got a good shine on them. Sometimes it only takes a couple real nice ones to make it all worth it.
