I've seen this before but I don't know what it is. Most of the brown on the slab is caused by the pudding in my saw. It isn't agate, but it has very small agate inclusions. Any ideas?

Reminds me of amethyst sage. Interesting dark formation in the center.

Reminds me of amethyst sage. Interesting dark formation in the center. I can see how you might think that, but it's nothing like any sage I have and I have a lot. Doesn't mean it isn't, just not like what I've got and have seen.

I would agree, dendritic opalite or jasper. A hardness check would indicate which it is.

Yup, dendritic opalite. Just cut some yesterday. There was lots of it at Quartzsite this year.

I agree with everyone on dendritic opalite, I have some of the yellow like it from Outback Mining.
