I inherited an Inland diamond band saw some time ago and have just gotten around to trying it out. It seems to work quite well even though It's kind of shoddy construction, with a high price tag. Replacement blades are very expensive too. Has anyone here had any experience with these saws? I have seen a third party blade on ebay that is cheaper but do they work or do any here have other souces for the blades.

I have a gryphon 40 and love it. Got it from John, on here. jsgemslapidary.com He may have blades to fit yours, and he gives members discounts. Ken

on another board there was a recent claim that you did not need 37.7" Inland blades, that there was enough adjustment to use regular 37" blades. don;t think you can use thicker/wider C-40 fusion blade, but you should be able to get cheaper than Inland

Thanks I was wondering about the adjustment possibility. If jsgemlapidry does offer an alternative I would deal with them rather than an unknown on e-bay.
