We sold Amber's house last December and put an offer in on a short sale home. We had to move out of her place in January and didn't settle on the new house yet so we had to move in with her mother. We finally settled on the new place at the end of June and been going full tilt working on the house since then. The house is only 6 years old and had been vacant for a year but there was quite a few things we wanted to changed and update in the house. We've replaced carpeting with wood laminate flooring in 3 rooms, painted 7 rooms, installed blinds in every room, replaced the kitchen sink and faucet, installed a wash tub in the laundry room, cleaned stained and repaired the deck .......... Still a lot things to do including building both a wood shop and rock shop in the basement. Here are some before and after pictures. Outside kitchen before After New sink & faucet Eating area Dining room Family room before After Deck Stepson's bedroom My daughter's room before After 4th bedroom before After Our bedroom Amber's favorite room, her closet/dressing room

Tony, you aren't done yet! You need more rocks. Granite that is. In your kitchen! haha!
Nice score on a short sale. Congrats!

Congrats on the gorgeous homestead! I'm quite jealous of the notion of building a rock shop in the basement. We don't have basements here in South Texas! Mainly due to the high cost of the explosives experts required to blast the hole in the limestone!

Beautiful home. I've lived in smaller places than that closet.

Thanks everyone. The house is in a development but we are surrounded on 3 sides by open space so its really pleasant to be out on the deck. We've seen lots of different birds, two species which I'd never seen before. We've had a fox in the yard twice and see deer often.
