I was on a roll the other day. My ankle is better, but now my hands are terrible. I still managed to get these done though- with the help of gloves. Mookaite ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/9-6-13/mauve%20lavender%20mookaite%20silver%20pendant%20(3).jpg) Paisley agate ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/9-6-13/paisley%20agate%20sterling%20silver%20pendant%20(3).jpg) agate - pretty cool agate! ![](http://www.telaformosa.com/pics/RTH/9-6-13/red%20orange%20Agate%20pendant%20(1).jpg) And- if you are wondering what I was talking about with my hands.... I have blistering psoriasis on my hands and feet, an auto immune disease. It affects my joints, too. Hasn't been this bad in a while. My left hand isn't as bad, but I did have to photoshop out a lot in the jewelry pictures. Now you know why I am absent sometimes. We all have our handicaps- this is one of mine and my big secret, but I felt like sharing today - for some odd reason. This really puts a damper on my cabbing ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) (It's not contagious, in case you are wondering.)

I cant get over how clean all your work looks. I really like the style of wrap on that second agate. Hope your hands get to feeling better.

Rich Thank you ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Yeah, DH is better. He was real sick, but it came and went. All he did was sleep for 3 days. He's like that when he's sick.

Hey Tela, These pieces are beautiful. The last Agate almost looks like tubes floating thru it. Hope you get to feeling better. My sister-in-law also had the same thing. It came and went with her as well. Take care of yourself.... Deb ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

All are beautiful, but I am most enamored with the paisley agate. I really like your wrap designs
I have numularis psoriasis, and don't know if you have tried this, but I get good calming and reduction with tea tree oil. It takes very little per use, and absorbs quickly. It is a natural antibiotic and helps heal the dry red inflamed areas. I use it every day after washing, and in addition to some of the prescribed ointment and salves when it is more severe. It has helped me reduce the severity and duration of flare ups by 50%- 70% for the last year, and even my doctor could see an improvement.

I have always thought your cabs were beyond exceptional, and still do!!! ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) I have a friend with he same issue as you have... he is a volunteer in the bingo kitchen but cannot work with food any longer because of it so he handles the $$ when he can... some days his hands get so bad they bleed. Hope you get better soon!!

Wow Tela, that took guts <hug and a gentle high-five>. I thought my admiration for the beauty you create couldn't increase by much but I was wrong. I had a similar condition growing up with very bad eczema that would alternate between my feet and hands - no fun at all. Luckily I'm about 35 years removed from the last flare-up.
I think I like the paisley the best! the understated elegance of the stone is perfectly balanced with the silver patina.

Tela, I also admire your work and now I know just how difficult it must be to make this beautiful jewelry, hope all heals well and feels better soon.
I love the Paisley Agate myself, but if you find out what the name of the last one is, would you let me know? I was going thru my slabs today and found that I have several smaller slabs just like it.

I really like your work and am saddened you're suffering so. I have some health issues of my own and can readily sympathize with the difficulties you face. I admire your attitude and toughness. Don't push yourself beyond your limits.

Tammy Here is what Mel said about this cab. "... Gotta say though, I really like the weird moss. Can't put a name to it though Zenz in his Agate book calls that formation " fragmented membrane agate". Those seem to occur in moss from several locations and are fairly common in Pata De Gallo agate from Mexico and I've also seen it fairly often in Bloody Basin moss agate from AZ.....Mel Read more: forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/61322/turkish-rainforest-chrysoprase-imperial-rhodonite#ixzz2eJr9FzMiHope that helps ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Thank you everyone for the compliments and sympathy. After thinking about it, I realized that I probably posted my hand to encourage other people with health issues. I know from my blog that a lot of people suffer quietly and endure many setbacks in doing the things they love. I just wanted to share that despite the pain and arthritis in my hands, I still manage when the muse hits and I encourage everyone to overcome their issues as much as they can to enjoy the hobbies that make them happy. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Maybe that sounds polly annish, but I know there really are some people who need to hear that.

I enjoy your work as well. Are you using full round wire ? Yes, for the most part, I use round wire. For bindings, though, I use 1/2 round. I also use a little square.

More beautiful cabs!! My only health issue is mental. (went through a windshield 9 years ago), biggest thing is short-term memory.
