Hi,
I am looking for Strawberry Quartz from Mexico. I am looking for all varieties of it, including low grade and ultra-low grade.
Please let me know if you have any for sale or for trade or if you know of someone else who does.
Thank you very much, :-) David

David, I've run into several types of quartz called "strawberry." I have some of one of them I'd be willing to sell/trade but I'm not sure it's what you're after. Any chance you can post an image?

That's crystalline quartz. The stuff I have is massive quartz that somewhat resembles a pinkish aventurine. The spangles are probably some sort of mica, definitely not rutile. I can't recall the source. Namibia maybe. I think most of the crystalline "strawberry" has inclusions of iron minerals like lepidocrosite, goethite, hematite etc. To post images you need an off-site image host like Photobucket or ImageShack. Simply copy and paste their image code into your post here.
