They hit the east coast big too. They are gettable on ebay. Sorry Jean-not antique(quite yet) but almost older than vintage.

Hmmm, I remember using the term, but don't remember ever seeing the critter.

Of the many models I built one was a RatFink roadster with a genuine glow-in-the-dark RatFink. Also one of Big Daddy Roths trikes.

@shotgunner, me thinks you are too young! I don't remember if we got them in a bubble gum pack (like a baseball trading card) or what, but you'd get a full color (paper) sticker that you could put wherever, school books, etc. I had some stuck on my skateboard. Still have that old wood skateboard with old style trucks and clay wheels, but the stickers came off when it had a facelift long ago.
The stickers were all these wicked monsters (pointy teeth, drooling, bloodshoot eyes) in rad rods/bucket Ts with blown motors, just too cool if you were into monsters and wild cars. I never had anything like what James posted, but I do remember the Revelle car models. When I was a kid, my dad would take us up to Pomona to see funny cars and dragsters racing.
Good memories...
