I was helping my mother in law move this past weekend. I found a few Lake Superior agates in the landscaping around her new house. I also found this "quartz ball" as I call them, and decided I might as well chop it open. I've thrown way too many of these back into the river while looking for agates. Time to start cutting more open I suppose.

Nice find! Reminds me of a Fairburn in some ways. What part of the country do you live in?

Wow, not far from home for me. I've never found anything like that in Minnesota. It doesn't really look like a coldwater agate, either (at least the ones I've seen). Keep finding them!
