Don the TV says the mailman will come right to your house and pick up the flat rate boxes. I never tried but would like to know from someone that does it? Dont forget Don a quart jar of stumphole likker ( homemade still type) with a bunch of honey and some lemon juice does wonders if you sip it all day, preferable about 160 proof or better so the honey and lemon dont weaken it down too much. I am serious not joking! LOL

Hey Don, I know you're really feeling sick, but would you mind posting pictures of what you took and added to the box? I think that's the "tradition" and rules for the box, but a lot of people haven't done it this go-around. Maybe your wife would be nice enough to take the pictures. Actually Jeff, I'm not taking anything from the box. Just adding to it. Took a pic of the box after I opened it, and will take pics of what I'm adding to post. Didn't get to sleep until 6:00 this morning, and just woke up a few minutes ago. Don

I am serious not joking! LOL Got a fifth of Jack Daniels that's been sitting on the shelf since 1969. Will that work ? I'm well acquainted with the good old fashioned Hot Toddy. That was the old mans cure all when I was a kid. Had it made with shine many times growing up. I prefer the old military GI Gin myself. It was made with 180 proof grain alcohol, cherry syrup and a shot of codien. Docs in the military don't know how to mix it up anymore, but it sure worked.

Well, as promised, Pics. The box right after I opened it. I didn't take anything out of the box. These are things I'm putting in. First, for those who still use dop wax, a full box. If anyone down the line uses dop wax, speak up and I'm sure there will be a stick or 2 left for you. Next, for those with kids or grand kids, 8 sticks of Ulexite. Just polish the ends and let them have fun looking at things through it. Please take 1 or 2 and leave some for others. Glue on Beaver Tail bails in gold and silver, in 3 sizes. French ear wires in gold and silver. One more pic to add. My head's buzzing so damned bad that I forgot to take it. Will post it in a little bit. OK, Here we go. 25 large slab stands. Please remember the others in line after you, and only take 2 or 3. And please send them on in the box, so they don't get broken by rocks. If there is still room in the box, I have some Lavic jasper and a couple other things I'll throw in. Oops !! Forgot I threw these in my pocket while I was in the basement. A couple bracelets. the gold one takes 7 rectangular cabs, and the silver takes 8 square cabs. Please excuse the poor quality pics. This pneumonia is kicking my butt.

be careful, I caught the flu and almost 3 months went by , and an odd assortment of illnesses, before I was the least bit better..... beat the rock snotzz out of my immune system and I was open to everything, which I got most of too !! If you don't take care I will have my daughter Jane write you a nasty-gram with a pic of her trying to look mean so you take all your medicine!! lol LOL. Jane don't have to look mean at me. I suffered thru pneumonia a couple years ago. Not as bad this time, but I'm taking all my meds. Even if they do leave me like a zombie for a couple hours. Tell Jane I've almost got a box of minerals ready to send to her. Just need to find a couple more things to take up space in the box. I'll let her know in the morning... she's in bed now and it appears she is coming down with something too!! fever and aches for now. Hopefully it won't get any worse than that !!

When she wakes up, tell her I'll look mean at her if she gets sick. And she sure doesn't want an ornery old goat looking mean at her.

Rocks are my friends. They sooth me when I'm feeling bad
Scott, After I've repacked the box, if I can squeeze anything else in, I'll get another pic or 2.
Now it's time for my evening meds, and off to zombie land.

Only Jake to hop up in my lap and give me a big wet lick. He always wins, no matter how mad I am at him. Looks like the box will have to go out tomorrow. Mama already left for town, before I could finish packing the box.

Well, back to emergency today. Was coughing so hard that I couldn't catch my breath. Doc has me on a stronger expectorant, and hanging off the side of the bed coughing into a bucket every 2 hours. You wouldn't believe how much crap your lungs can hold.
Anyway, I just finished packing the box. Got a little room left, so I'll throw in something as filler in the morning, and see if mama will leave early for work so she can mail it. If she does, I'll post the tracking # tomorrow night.
Used a new box, and glued the bottom inner flaps to the outer flaps. You wouldn't believe how much strength that adds to the bottom.
And now it's time to cough my lungs up again. I swear that before mama took me to emergency this morning, I coughed up a lung. It flew across the room and slid down the wall.

The box is on its way to the P.O. I won't have a tracking # until mama gets home from work tonight. I'll post the # around 10:30 or a little later.
Good thing I didn't tape the box up last night. I forgot to put the box of dop wax in. After putting that in, there wasn't enough room for rough rock, but I did stuff a few slabs in.

Don, you are a ................words evade me.
We all would have been perfectly OK if you had waited until you finished expectorating.

Well, back to emergency today. I coughed up a lung. It flew across the room and slid down the wall. Bro I'm sorry for your pain!!! Jane went back to school today only to call the house 1.5 hrs later in near hysterics because she was having some severe stomach pains. so we went and got her and she fell asleep in my bed eventually but we figure she has some kind of stomach bug ... and she is learning to spit due to the mucus she is coughing up... !! Hope you both get better soon!! oh, and BTW... it's better is it slides down the wall... the ones that stick are harder to clean up after!!

Ah man Mario, that just sucks. Tell Jane to hurry up and get better. Tell her that if she lays on her stomach on the bed with her head hanging off the side, she can cough the stuff into a small container. I use an old cottage cheese container. It really does help. Tell her that after were both better, we'll have to get together for a spittin contest.
And speaking of which, it's time for me to lay across the bed and spit again. Then in a couple hours I can take my meds and play zombie again. But before they kick in, I'll post the tracking numbers.
