I finished these up last night. Royston turquoise - all of these are backed with JBWeld Pinolith - this one was pretty thin so I backed it with some JBWeld Dino bone - same thing, thin cab so I JBWelded it. This was a redo on this agate Sonora Sunrise

How do you do the backing with JBWeld? What is the process? Thank you, Sheri

WOWWWZERS! I love the dino bone. It is one of the most interesting I have seen, The Sonora Sunrise is a very close 2nd. It's patterns VS contrasting colors. Very nice work!

Thanks, grizman! Sheri, I get the one in the tube that's like putty. You just tear or cut off a piece then knead it with your fingers to mix good. Then you pinch off however much you need to cover the back & mash it on there good, then let it harden up. It hardens up pretty fast so don't take off more than what you can use within a couple of minutes & dampen your fingers otherwise it gets really sticky.

The pattern on the dino bone is fantastic. And I am always a sucker for Sonoran.

That bone is the bomb. Never heard of backing a cab with JB Weld before.

Thanks you all! I forgot, I didn't use the JBWeld on the dino bone, just the turquoise. I will see what I can come up with on the tutorial. I've never done one but I guess there's always the first time!
