My Link belt that drives the feed broke on my 20" HP does anyone know where I can buy a new Link Belt? I had a spare I thought but it is too short. Thanks!

I made use of that kind of thing to get an arbor going with some expanding drums a little while back. Works well, and I didn't have to disassemble the arbor to replace the belt. Doesn't seem to slip and not contributing any particular vibration that I can tell. I don't have a huge amount of run time on it so far, but looks like it will hold up OK.
However, it was no small challenge to assemble (mine came as three discrete sections because I didn't have the wits to check an obvious source of supply like HF (D'OH!)) and I had to resort to some vocabulary I hadn't used since the last time I spent an hour trying to get a chain saw started. So if you get into modifying the length, keep that in mind.
That said, I am less than swift about all manner of mechanical adventures, so it may be a piece of cake for someone handier.

Wouldn't a standard V-belt be easy to install? I know I changed the drive belt on my HP24 but can't remember if arbor belt was easy or not.

Shop cleaning the other day, found 9 left over links of the link belt as pictured in the HF ad link above, got it at McGuire Bearing. If someone can use it, PM me an address, better than tossing it.
