These are previous dogs I have owned. I think they were happy dogs.

Shadow, shepherd/lab (I think the bed's a little small, lol)

Timka, RR and rottweiler.

Just a couple more of the dogs that have shared their lives with me.

Most all of my dogs have done this...male and female.
I like to believe they feel completely secure and safe in their surroundings because it is a position of submission.

And it probably feels good to air out the smelly parts!

Poor morals? Or because they are comrfortable? I was thinking the same as you, Nancie, that they feel safe and secure, not vulnerable exposing their bely. Perhaps even that they are well adjusted.
