Here is the talk of the town right now when it comes to flat track racing. Shayna Texter. My brother was at this race. Springfield Mile is less than hour drive from me. Brother was saying she was doing faster times than the pros. Good on bike camera.

Here is the badest motorcycle ever to flat track race. Kenny Roberts and his TZ 750. This video is first time he rode the bike in 34 years. So badass that AMA banned it. How would you like to eat the roost of that back tire. Yeah.

All's fair in love and motorcycles. The girl is a fe nom. And that is a brutal race.
Dad took me to the track anytime Kenny Roberts was in town. Yep, got to see him in real time on numerous occasions.
That boy ain't right. He jumped right on it. That was a bad bike too.

Rather watch her than Kenny as far looks she'e not lacking. She will surpass Kenny in fame.
You saw history Brad.

Wasnt me. My brother and his girlfriend went. He does annual ride up there, same race every year. I should of went. Was the nicest weather wise it had been in years. Usually its tradition that its very hot and humid. This year was cool temps.
Have to see how long she lasts. She is pretty small. She aint much taller than the bike. Got an advantage on weight but she still has to get out there and do it. Plus there are some pro riders that arent much bigger than her. Gotta be nuts to get on that Kenny Roberts 750 and kick er sideways.

I have a photo of my dad on an Indian. He said that he could outrun all of his friends. He did not marry my mother until he was 35 so when I was growing up he was quite a bit older than most fathers and had outgrown his wild ways when I was pretty young. I rode a dirt bike for a lot of years then rode a Yamaha 750 when I was living in Dallas/Fort Worth. Put it down on my ankle and broke the hard bone in three places. Cast and crutches for eight weeks while I was going to college (in my 40s) and had to cover quite a bit of ground to get to class. Really sucked.
It seems to me that I hear about Roberts hitting his elbow on the inside fence and broke it but finished the race. Not sure, it was a long time ago. Jim

That girl is fairly consistent Brad. She must be a tiger. LOL.
I think Kenny has broken his wrists and had them reconstructed Jim. I think most racers have. My Dad had an Indian too. He stopped riding at 75.

This Chris Carr was a badass on the dirt. Most popular rider through his whole career. Had record for world fastest streamliner motorcycle. Dont look like motorcycle but it is still on two wheels. He got asked to drive this streamliner motorcylce at Bonneville salt flats. Went over 367 mph and 372. I have a video documentary on the whole thing. The streamliner build. Pretty cool. The engine is one off and took years to develop. I think someone recently broke his record though. Just check out that work of art at 43 second mark of video.
owner says on a scale of 1 to 10. Religious experience.

Now this is a crying shame, just one more effect of the government shutdown - Mike Cook's Bonneville Shootout - World's Fastest Cars and Motorcycles These guys spend big bucks on their toys, and lots of time preparing. EDIT - BE SURE TO CHECK THE BLOG FOR UPDATES! Although they have been shot down for planned dates, it might still happen October 10 - 14, weather permitting. Read more here landspeedevents.com/blog/

That sucks. Id love to go out there one time. I think they only do it once or twice a year out there on the salt flats. Its a spectacle. Them crazy high speed vehicles are mechanical works of art.

Watch this. It is one of the best Isle of Man videos ever done. Ride a bike at 170 MPH and get a little motion dizzy. Hold on.

Great video. That Isle of Man race is about as cool as it gets with road racing. I seen a special they did on that race on SPEED channel. 175 going through the timber, no thanks. 175 going through small town village, no thanks. Most skilled riders on the planet.Good stuff. G Them AMA crotch rocket guys are nuts. Not only do they drag their knees around corners but they drag their elbows along with the knee. They said they are like 4 degrees from automatically falling over.
