Looks like that hole was created by the hardnosed stone worm. They live in the rock sheds, spending most of their lives vertical when they eat rock. ;-)

looks like Mooka, maybe low grade grainy stuff? The hole is man made. Perhaps for testing or blasting? Mooka is pretty fractured. I always figured they blasted it.

Definitely Mookaite!!! Love this material and I have some where the red is replaced by purple! Australia only to get this beauty!!!

Red and purple! Ironically I just finished a super large mookaite tonight. Gotta work tomorrow all day but if I don't get it posted tonight then I will on Tuesday!
