Im looking for different types of jasper stones.
I happen to name my son Jasper before getting into this hobby and i would like to get my hands on a variety of jaspers to tumble.
Thanks for any input you can give this newbie

Better yet, go out to Lavic and collect some! Look up the Lavic collecting site in any of the rockhound books. Tons of jasper for the picking up, easy. Welcome, fellow Southlander!

'Southlander' is right, but im a little East of Cali. Im from Louisiana where there arent much rocks to be found. The most rocks i know of around me are the ones in my driveway, and yes, its been searched thoroughly.

Oh, I misinterpreted the LA, sorry! lol. You could go rockhounding with Mel out in TX I guess. I'll start you off with the jaspers then, Bloodstone is a nice type of jasper and easy to come by.

Heath, I will be in Lavic in the next month. I'll collect for your son a flat rate box of stones. All I will ask for is postage to send it to you.

I'll PM when I get it.
My gift is pretty small. At Lavic you park your truck on tumble sized jaspers. It paves the desert! I can probably fill a large flat rate box within arms reach of the truck! Just use a rake to make a pile and then fill the box!
I plan to be there anyway.
