Been looking at a 24" Frantom that is in very good condition. Diamond blade has lots of life yet. Machine cuts straight. Just trying to figure out a price. Would like to hear what you guys think would be a low and high price for this. It is a large investment that I am willing to make but still don't want to go overboard on price. Thanks!

I might go higher than Roy at $1000 to $1800. Location plays a part, too. We don't get saws that size for sale around here that often.

It all depends on condition. I would go $500 for poor condition to $2500 for like new. Frantom is a good saw, hard to find anymore.

I just paid $900 for one in "pretty good" but not "excellent" condition. Cuts straight, blade with 1/8" wear left. Oil and assistance in delivery included. Mine had the added benefit of having legs with wheels bolted on. I can move it around for cleaning and maintenance. Remember, if you get the saw:

Location is about 75 miles. Looks to be in very good condition. Bearings not sloppy at all. Just needs to be mucked out some. Thanks everybody, I'll have the deal done one way or another in a couple days.

congrats! They are solid saws.
I should add mine had the "clutch" clamp (correct part name?) broken off. My guy 'fixed" it by using a strong spring clamp to clamp onto the threads of the feed screw. Put the clamp on next to the vice body, close lid and turn saw on. When saw cuts off, remove clamp from screw thread and pull vice back to work with. Easy peasy japoneasy.

Frantom is every bit as good as Highland Park originals. Prices are all over the board. I would agree with Tony. I took my HP24 to Quartzsite this year and hoped to get $1500 for it. Tony advised me to go way up and I sold it fairly easily for $2800. I think some of the clutch parts are being made by China Park now but use the "this saw company went out of business a long time ago" defense when you make a low offer. A friend of mine paid $1500 for a Frantom 18" about 5 years ago and thought he got a steal.

As a comparison, I know where there is one in Phx for $1400. Well used but in good shape with %75 blade left.

I did not get the saw, and now I am having under-bidder regrets. Oh well, somebody else did and hopefully they will use it. It sold for $1,725.00 at auction. I would have bid more but thought that since I have not sold anything that I have cut with the 12" saw that I have I may never get to realizing a great profit from the big saw. But even those thoughts don't help. The darn thing was only about 70 miles from my house, easy haul.
