A friend donated a used oxygen tank cart. OH! "This forum's attachment quota has been used up. My file cannot be uploaded." I'll have to Insert from our club website. Now that stopped working. Going to Photobucket. I strengthened the axle and shaft with angle iron attached by u-bolts, then built a base to hold bags out of scrap oak. I attached the base with straps left over from other projects. The finished unit easily wheels 30 lbs of rock around.

Why can't rock be lightweight? I got a cart w/bicycle tires for rough terrain and love it. Well done.

What I like about this one is that it will pass through most of the underbrush. Most? well, usually. If I can get the cart to the rock, so far I've been able to get it back to civilization. "Where there is a way, there is a will." Where there is no way, sooner or later we find another project.

Down here in the south we have to go to the rivers to get exposed rocks. So a specialized boat is the ticket.
I used that cart in south Texas where the bush averaged 8 feet high and the limbs were about 3 feet high.
The vegetation was a constraint there too.

My friend Julie uses a dolly to haul the big ones to the truck, and a ramp to pull them aboard!

My rock cart is a Yamaha 400 Big Bear (ATV), but I like and appreciate the ideas here.

This is my rock cart I built a few years ago. have had a number of 200 lb loads on it. Solid rubber tire so no flats. single tire/wheel works great of cow trails.
