My work table was ALWAYS in the wrong place. I stole this idea from Norm Abrams (New Yankee Workshop). You will need 4 rotating castors, 8 hinges, 2 - 2X4X width between table legs, 4 - 1X4X5-6" What ever is handy to drop down and lock the 2X4 in place. 2 eye screws near the table top to keep the string handy. Attach the string to the bottom of the hinged 1X4's and you are set. Lift the table and the wheels automatically swing down and lock into place. Pull the 2 strings and the wheels collapse, the table sets solid in the new location and ready for the tough jobs.

Great idea. I am trying to make everything in my shop moveable. This will help with those things that need a steady foot.
