Nice parallel there, the colors and shapes are spot on! I can't believ you can get away with riding that around with straight pipes on it!! Around these parts, they'd lock ya up and throw away the key, lol!

Is that a Honda 4? An ex brother in law put several hundred thousand miles on a Honda 4.
Oh, yea, the rock looks great too. I have one shaped like a funny car. How about a great shapes thread? Jim

It has baffles in every pipe Jean. I cut the pipes off and welded 1 1/4 water pipe about 8 inches long. Installed 4 Harley baffles in those pipes. Sounds like 2 Harleys now:) My Dad gave me that bike a few years back. He tripped last year when he saw it(he is 85). It has shocks and is cozy enough for shorter rides Karen. They are getting 300,000 Jim. 1981 Honda 4.The bottom end was built for future 1500 cc from it's existing 750 cc. So the bottom end is overdone. Ride it to Harley bars . It is painted Harley orange. Had some furry orange bed room slippers to go with it. Stirred it up a little.

My son did the same thing with an electric scooter. Even backed it in to the curb. He is covered in tattoos so he still fit right in. Jim

Freedom man freedom. Actually most Harley folks are a the most committed motorcycle people there is. Yours or theirs, they seem to be in to any 2 wheeler.

This is a rear view. The next year (82) was the last for the ole Honda CB 750. 1969-1982 Before bobbered Took a chunk out of the handlebars Cut pipes off and added 1 1/4 water pipe to slip baffles in. Sound came out needing a patent The rear spokes started breaking on the highway and in a quarter mile it was a rough ride. I don't know which experience was more memorable-spoke failure or lacing new spokes

How much of the work did the dog do? It looks like there was a lot of work too. It takes the patience of a saint to lace and true a wheel. I did a bicycle once and I don't think I ever got it close to perfect. "Dad, the wheel wobbles" "yea, isn't it cool that way". Jim

Cut pipes off and added 1 1/4 water pipe to slip baffles in. Sound came out needing a patent I love that description - "Sound came out needing a patent." Sweet! Agree with Jim, looks like a LOT of work. But you did a great job of it! Question - without a rear fender, do you end up wearing the road dirt on your back when it rains out? Or maye you don't ride when it's wet? Still, way cool. Riding will keep you sane.

The spokes surprised me. I hit the sequence some how. They are double spoked(so they say) so it is complicated.
I think i did the work quickly. It made sense to cut and shorten all that was required. I ordered seat, LED lights and that was about it.
It was easier than i ever thought. The tank was a lot of work and rebuilding the carbs was scary but successful. I did hire a carb tuner to rejet for more open pipes and low flow air filters. Jets were wild, like 110 all the way to 142. But it still gets good mileage ,a bit better. And way faster.
I put a new rear tire and chain last month. Measured for a big tire and can go several sizes bigger and will. Rear tire wears fast.
The sound was copied by the downtown vintage rat bike shop that did the tune on the carbs. They had never seen nor experienced that sound. And it does not take much to make an inline ole 4 sound wicked anyway. So they got the lowdown on the cheap baffles and the slip over and weld water pipe.
I know Jim and Jean are tinkerers of mechanical amazement. Any one that drives a p/u truck with 18,000 gallons of propane in the bed is substantial. And Jean w/her industrial vibrator/lapper:)

And they doen't really care what you wear. I know a guy that showed up to a run wearing chili pepper pajama pants and his club vest! Now he would have been asking you were you got the slippers LOL
