I seen a really old ad on CL for a 12" slab saw for a killer price, so I thought I would inquire on it. I figured at this point Beef already beat me to it. After two weeks of short reply's with no phone number, I finally got an email that today is the day to show up. It ends up it is an awesome older couple selling off their slab saw and there 30 year old collection. What was suppose to be a 12" slab saw turned out to be a 14" Nelson slab saw. It is the first time I had ever seen a Nelson slab saw, it appears to be very well made. I have been saving my money for Quartzite and Tucson, so I was not attending on buy any materiel, but like any rock hound, how can you pass it up. h I brought home a lot more materiel then I can store, if there is any interest I can put together MANY MRFB boxes. Lots of slabs, T-Eggs, Small cut geodes, 10" saw rough and other misc. Thanks for looking. Tim

Congrats! Lucky you!
I'd love to have more rough, but I've got so much already...

I figured at this point Beef already beat me to it. Ah, lack of funds the past couple months has me ignoring CL. Enjoy it while you can Tim! Nice score!! My 16" Nelson is set up completely different. btw, you're always welcome to store your excess rough over here

Thanks guys.
Hey Beef, thanks for the heads up for the lack of competition on CL. But, watch what you wish for, I have lots of rock I need gone. I will gladly store at your house LOOOOONNNNGGGGG term. :-)
Jean. Really do any of us really need any more rocks? But darn it, I want them so badly. I should have never bought that first saw.
Looking forward to Quartzite, might have to sell a saw to support my addiction. Dohhh...

That looks like a great score. The thing that I noticed was how clean the unit looks. I'm guessing it will be a plug-in and play!

Thanks everyone.
The saw is appears to be in real good shape, plugged it in and it sounds good and autofeed works. This weekend I am going to get some oven cleaner on it to try and clean it a little more, it also needs a new power cord. So, I figured I might as well wire in an auto-stop at the same time. If I fill it full of oil I will never add the auto-stop. (From experience.)

@azrockgeek is always ready to fill a box or a truck with nice material. The stones speak to him.
