Yo Guys I been working a couple pieces of marble all day for a heart Just glued it up. The type escapes me at the moment White w/ red & orange fibers in it From Spain I believe I'll look that up later Great uncle owned a marble company in Chicago early 1900's The last surviving cousin is visiting from Michigan this weekend So I making my cousin a marble heart. Cause we got marble in our blood. Contribute what ya know about marble, please all you Michelangelo's Thanks Ed pictures to follow

All right a picture of the marble Its drill core. Can't tell much from the picture but its good marble as far as marble goes And here's the heart roughed out and epoxied together. This is my afternoon grind project. I'm not sure I can finish it before sundown. But the marble is a real easy grind so I'm not behind not much here-- but thanks for looking anyways the mohs

Looks great even rough Ed. Seam is tight and cleavage looks spot on. Can't wait to see the finished product. One thing is clear with a work like this- you haven't lost your marbles

Ha HA !! all my marbles are loose and still rolling and I did run out of daylight! just the one side polished I was starting to get concerned cause the marble wasn't shining so great after the 600 grit but a little more attentions on the other grits and I'm pretty satisfied w/the shine and shaping. Thanks guys !!! I really appreciate ya playing marbles with me

The heart completed and delivered to my cousin The marble is from Spain and is called Crema Valencia Its only quarried from one mine in Spain and is unique its orange color cream texture Kind of like a sorbet Ed

Wowzers Ed That marble heart is seamless. A true piece of art. May be one of your best yet- but I feel that way every time I see one of your hearts
