We have seen a dozen or so at day 3. One 8 point buck and one large antlered deer too far too shoot. I saw 3 does and a 'spike' this morning. A big deer w/2 long single horns. Bob and Virgil cleaning the large doe. They will hunt till dark tomorrow and go home. Come back next Friday and Saturday  Bob and Virgil being Bob and Virgil  |

The women should have brought this up but your friends are better looking than you. Is it a case of hanging out with better looking friends so you can get their cast offs? Ouch, damn, you do not have to hit an old man that hard. I was just joking. Well, about the hanging out I was joking.
No luck on the big buck I guess?

No. Virgil watched a 2.5 year old dancing w/a doe. I saw a nice buck way back in the brush. Really could not tell how much antler it had.
The rut is just starting fast. Next weekend will be peek. Very exciting since the animals are so densely populated in mid Georgia. I must have seen 30 scrapes
within 500 yards of the house.
