Beautiful stone. With my knowledge (or lack there of) I would have called it jasper agate. I don't remember seeing red and green together before. Another example of my knowledge. How do you tell it is morrisonite? Jim

The material is unique in pattern, takes a superior polish . . . and harder than all get out. I suspect it is much harder than standard jasper, perhaps a silicon carbide? thegemshop.com/pages/history-of-morrisonite
