Hey there all! We are new members from Hanford, Ca that love rockhounding in the California Desert. Can't get enough desert agate and petrified palm to satisfy us, and not enough weekends to search. Look forward to getting to know everyone better.

Thanks everyone! Looking forward to sharing photos. In fact, we have a photo of a fossil we found at the California State Gem Mine (benitoite) a few months ago. The owner of the mine, Dave Schreiner, is a good friend of ours and he said he hadn't seen anything like it up there before. It's a smaller fossil and definitely odd, or at the very least, odd to us. We will see if we can find the right area to post the photo and see if anyone can help us identify it.

Greetings and felicitations from SoCal. Careful, rocks can be addictive. Hope to see you at the Cady trip this weekend.
