Hi all, I thought I would share images of my rock room and area. It's a small space for what I have packed in the place:) Its cozy, it works for me, but I would like a bigger place LOL All my rock and jewelry work takes place in the house, I live in mid central Saskatchewan and I am not going to heat the garage unless I made this a paying business. The house is just nicer to use anyway. The rest of the house is actually finished and pretty nice, this is the storage room and laundry room:) Sorry for boring you all. In no particular order: This holds Grits, tumble rocks that have went through at least stage one, my favorite Dremel/Fordom burrs and misc stuff. The blue tubs are mostly for metal smith items. General area: Findings, burrs and sandpaper storage. Polish lath and pickle pot in foreground: Pliers and other tool storage in grey drawers: Soldering station, it works pretty good for me, notice the vacuum, often needed but seldom used:) Even have to store stuff in the rafters: Kind of a display storage case that holds flat laps: Slab storage: Rough storage: Slop sink and trim saw in laundry room. The sink can be drained into a pail or sewer depending what I am cleaning: Jiggle pan, under wife's sewing table "I am encroaching on her area" Thanks Tom

You spend way too much time cleaning! Can I just say though, that this is the best shop area I've seen yet! Great setup, all the right tools!

Thanks everyone, It is a bit on the small side but works OK. Susan and Thunder, if I don't keep it organized I will loose things . Actually I am not that bad but it does help to keep things in order. It pills up so easy.

Totally loving all of it, but REALLY dig the little tie dye hammer and the even tinier one with the huge handle next to it. Can never have too many hammers.

Awesome post, thanks for sharing. It's fun to see where folks make the magic happen. Looks like you are well prepared...winters coming. I used to travel up to Mistatim Sask each spring from MT, beautiful country up that way. Cheers

Thanks everyone, the shop works for me. bsky; Mistatim, I am actually not that far from there, sounds like you were doing some Moose hunting? Great area to get lost and never be found again. Thanks Again.

Actually spring bear...but bear hunting down here in the states isnt very PC so shhhhhhhh. BIG bears in that jungle up there. But the real fun was just being in the north woods, lots of critters to see. U live in a beautiful spot.
Again great work shop, thanks for sharing. Some great ideas for economy of space. I like the moveable soldering station and of course as Shotgunner pointed out the tie-dye hammer is way cool. Cheers.

Seeing your rock shop is a little like group therapy. When an addict sees a fellow addict with a far bigger problem, it makes you feel good about yourself.
Thanks Tom.

Disturbingly clean and organized! Needs a great deal more filth and clutter.

LOL, well thanks, its really not that clean all the time. I do like to be organized though, I seem to misplace enough items with organization, can't imagine finding things if it was too messy.
A long time member of our club, very long time member built a new house a few years ago. He actually planned the house AROUND his rock/smithing area. Its freaking amazing!! His wife ended up with a gorgeous house too, but the rock shop is so sweet
