Maggot on left and Doe Doe on right. They are spoiled. They are also wild out on the field. Their feet. The claws are large on these animals to take wear from long distance hunts. Relieving some wear on their pads.

Good looking pair. Nice shot with their front feet crossed with one another. Adorable. Now I gotta go give my dog a hug.

I had no clue about ridgebacks being hunting dogs. Van Rooyen's Lion Dogs! Nice!
How come they tightened the standard taking out brindle and sable? Two very nice colors indeed. Having these colors allows for greater genetic diversity, something always lacking in pure bred dogs.

yes, Doe Doe(Gi Gi) is Lucy's daughter. And Gi Gi was depressed for 2 years when Lucy died at 8. They played real rough. Lucy died of malignant carcinoma(metastatic). It grew in one week so much, from nothing noticed to a half baseball.

Funny thing Micheal. Those are the notorious lion dogs of Africa. I have a 6 pound cat that rules them. They are scared to death of that cat.

yes, Doe Doe(Gi Gi) is Lucy's daughter. And Gi Gi was depressed for 2 years when Lucy died at 8. My Lucy was depressed for a good six months after we lost Cricket just before Easter. She has finally started to come out of it, and play the way she used to. She has never been an "only child" before. But I've been told that we will not be getting another one. I agree with Bob on this, you just can't take them everywhere with you. And when you do (like rock hounding) you have to keep an eye on them all the time. Fortunately, with Lucy being a momma's girl, she normally sticks pretty close to me.

We used to fight about having dogs. I wanted to go all the time. And not have to babysit. Now i have slowed and like the dogs here. She won either way. Losing battle from the start. LOL.
Amazing how those dogs have their own family. My neighbor had a couple of pairs of jack asses. One of the males got trapped or chased into the saw briers and the coyotes killed it. It's mate is depressed and withdrawn for 2 years now.
Goes to show how important men are to the ladies.Seriously, animals are cool.

My daughter has a black cat called "Panther",known him for 8 years-he is about the only cat I like...He sits on your lap,no purrin',no bumping the head or scratching...Not much of a reptile fan either... I like dogs, horses and bulls, once they know you, your buddies forever...
