Modern Marvels on the History channel is doing a one hour show on saws,with wood,rock,etc........ Very interesting show-thumbs up.....

I be real interested no cable did they go into the history of the saw? Kind of went back to the start of saws.Can't believe the different types of saws they are making anymore! All the way from loggers,fireman,rock cutters,medical,etc,etc.....The medical saws make ya' twitch a bit-LOL The huge rock saw were something else to see too,even showed the saws that built the pyramids and etc.......Engineering way back than......

a jagged edge is a wonderful thing! archaeologist found tools in Egypt that had them flummoxed. Turned out to be a tool to bend teeth in saw blades. I suppose bronze. Amazing. And now we know the origin of the Egyptian god Set. mostly

Did they speculate on what type of saw was used to cut the blocks for the pyramids? Hand saw? Lots of grit slurry? Must of been massive amounts of labor. although the ancients were good at quarry out rock unimaginably good
did you ever see a program how they built Parthenon in Rome ? excellent!
