Hello All,
I recently bought a couple of used 20" Covington slab saws and don't have enough room for them in my saw shop building. So I've decided to sell one of my 18" Lortone slab saws to make some room for one of the larger saws. I have been using this 18" Lortone saw up until this week when I cleaned it to put up for sale.
I purchased this saw used back in the winter of 2012 and replaced the arbor bearings, the blade arbor pulley, and the belts. I added a new BD301 blade back in the early summer of 2012. This year I changed the power cord, and changed the pulley sizes to speed up the blade and slow down the power feed rate for cutting hard agates. The belt guard doesn't fit over the larger power feed pulley that I installed so in the photos the saw is shown with the belt guard not mounted but laying underneath the saw. I still have the original 3-step power feed pulley and it is included with this saw in case the buyer wants to change it back to factory specs. The BD301 blade still has well over 80% of it's diamond left and turns as true as it did when it arrived new. Which means it still has the same slight wobble it had from the factory. There is some slop in the vise carriage but it doesn't effect performance. This saw cuts smooth slabs. The price of this saw is $950.
Multiple views are shown on my flickr page and can be viewed at www.flickr.com/photos/quailriver/ . The dolly that the saw is sitting on in the photos is not included in the sale of the saw. I live in Sophia, NC. If you would like to make an appointment to come see the saw, or have any questions then you may email me at . If you would like to have the saw shipped I will have it strapped on a pallet for you for an additional $25. But you will have to make arrangements with your choice of shippers for a pick-up and for payment of shipping costs. I would estimate the shipping weight to be 225-250lbs.
