Hey folks, just got home from an auction over in Fountain Hills that I went to this morning. It had advertised saws and polishers as well as rough, figured there would be plenty of rockers there to bid against me (Tim??). Not a one! The guy had an incredible huge home, so much stuff! He was an engineer who had just passed at the age of 103. Anyway I'm waiting for Christa and Jesse to get home to help me unload this behemoth I bought.. check it out Still laying down in the bed of my truck, three poly arbors in a row then a 6 inch and 10 inch Beacon Star saws Here's the underside of the bench with all the motors. They're on hinges so the weight of the motors keep the belts tensioned. There was also an old school lap on the bottom of the bench included $100 for the equipment! Other than being dusty everything looks to be in great shape. OK the rough, haven't had the chance to go through it but there's some amazing looking pieces showing Can't wait to go through this all, saw some Rhodochrosite slabs among others.. rough lot costed me $40! Woohoo.. happy days Christa just pulled up.. gotta go. Thanks for looking!

Double wow. That would have blown my hair back if I had any. You can set up an assembly line or get a lot of exercise moving from one to the other. At the bottom of your page you have "I wanna rock", well guess what? U gunna rock. Jim

nice heavy duty equipment. I have gotten my fair share of bargains but that tops them all.

Hey Beef, nice score! I use poly style arbors too. Get those link style belts to replace your vbelts. They run quieter and smoother!

Brian, as often as you go to sales and auctions, I only have one question - When are you going to run out of room to put all your cool finds?? What a great day you had. I hope you helped Krista unload it .

Ye-ow, Whatta haul! I always get a warm feeling when I see an old rockhound's stash go to someone who appreciates their hoard, and understands the nature of the untold stories in every bucket and box.

Hey Beef. Can you post detail pics of how the guy attached sponges to his Poly hoods ? Great idea for spreading the water.
